Leonard Tamayo Jr., 63, Native from Douglas, AZ and a Sacramento, CA resident for the last 42 years, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2012.



Leonard was born on January 29, 1949, in Douglas, Arizona to the late Leonardo and Julia Tamayo. Loving husband and father, he is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Stephanie R. Tamayo; loving daughters, Stephanie Ann and Angelica Tamayo Sisters; Gloria (Jesus) Noperi, Leticia (Rogelio) Ramirez, Alicia (Jack) Weber. Brothers; Ralph (Maria) Tamayo and George (Maggie) Tamayo.

Leonard was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Molly Tamayo and Grace Parra.

Leonard retired from the City of Sacramento, Department of Utilities after 40 years. Viewing and services were held Tuesday, April 10th, 2012 at ANDREWS AND GREILICH, an EAST LAWN MORTUARY, 3939 Fruitridge Road. A funeral Mass was held Wednesday, April 11, at 10 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church, 5961 Franklin Blvd. Followed by a Private Cremation.

    " I knew leonard's family when they were young in Douglas.I live 4-houses west of his. They used to live in the 200-block of 15 street across the rairoad tracks. Que descanses en paz Leonard cerca de dios. I am now 72 I thank the good lord for my health thank you all. Portland ,Org. "
