With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and much loved friend to many, Andy Medrano, Jr., who passed away peacefully in San Diego, California on Sunday, April 15, 2012.

Andy was born in Douglas, Arizona on June 18, 1954. He graduated from Douglas High School, enrolled in some college courses, lived and worked in Tucson, then later in San Diego, California.

Andy was a friend to all and fun to be around. He enjoyed life, traveling out of state and deeply loved his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Estella Medrano and sister Yolanda Medrano Martinez.

Andy is survived by his father Andres G. Medrano, siblings, Sylvia Medrano, Oscar (Ramona) Medrano, Eddie (Dorothy) Medrano. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

A Rosary will be held for Andy at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 20, 2012 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Douglas, AZ. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated following the Rosary at Noon with Father Richard Tule officiating. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Pirtleville, AZ.

    " Andy, I remember growing up in our big town of Pirtleville having fun just being kids playing,being with Oscar, Joe, Sylvia and everyone else that would come along. You always had a smile on your face and kind words for everyone.
