Bulldog runners fall to Buena

The Douglas Bulldog track team fell to Buena 97-43 in a dual meet last week at Douglas High School.

Gabriel Aguilar won the pole vault with a vault of eight-feet, nine-inches.

In the 110-meter high hurdles Ralph Carrillo was second with a time of 18.8 seconds and Ernesto Moreno third with a time of 20 seconds.

Ricky Larez finished second in the 1600 with a time of 5:04; Brandon Moreno was second in the 400-meters with a time of 55.6 seconds.

Alphonso Mejia won the 300-intermediate hurdles with a time of 41.9 seconds. Moreno was third with a 46.7. Mejia also placed second in the 100-meters turning in a time of 11.2 seconds.

Dante Diaz was third in the shot put with a throw of 37’5”. He was second in the discus with a throw of 101’ while Marco Toscano was third with a throw of 91’10”.

In the triple jump Adan Macias was first with a jump of 37’. Rodrigo Martinez was second with 36’10.”

Jesus Ayala finished third in the 200-meters with a time of 25.5 seconds; Gustavo Melendez was third in the 3200 with a time of 11:56.

Israel Andrade finished second in the 800 with a time of 2:18 and Stewart Hernandez was third finishing with a time of 2:30.
