Douglas School Board adjusts board meeting

Due to a conflict with the Douglas Bulldogs state playoff game with Gila Ridge Tuesday afternoon the Douglas School Board of Education changed its meeting time from 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 1 to 7 a.m..

They also adjusted the items on the agenda saving a majority of the topics for the special meeting set for May 8.

At the 7 a.m. meeting Tuesday the board is expected to approve the hires of four new teachers and three principals and the retirements of two teachers.

Following the May 8 special meeting there will be another meeting May 15 followed by the DHS awards night May 16.

The last day of school is May 23. Graduation is May 25.
