Douglas man killed

A Douglas man was killed April 20 when his motorcycle struck a cow on Highway 80.


According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety Randy Shaw, 32, was eastbound on Highway 80 riding a Yamaha motorcycle when he struck a cow that was in the roadway.

The accident occurred shortly after midnight at milepost 361.5.

Family members say Shaw was heading back home following a work shift at Home Depot.

According to the obituary on Page 2 Shaw was a 13-year veteran of the United States Marines where he worked as a helicopter mechanic.

He moved to Douglas to be near his mother.

Shaw leaves behind a daughter, mother and numerous aunts and uncles.
