Dear Editor:


A special thanks to all who supported the St. Bernard Fundraising Committee’s hamburger sale on Sunday, April 29. The sale was a huge success, netting over $650. All proceeds raised are to help St. Bernard’s Parish in small building and maintenance repairs and other miscellaneous needs.

Also, a restroom has been built and a small kitchen and a church hall are part of our up and coming goals. with these fundraisers and the monetary donations that have been received from so many wonderful, caring people, these goals will be met.

A special thanks to the merchants from the Douglas and Pirtleville communities, such as Walmart, Pirtleville’s Grocery, Sarah Lee, St. Vincent De Paul, The Douglas Meat Market and the Douglas Dispatch. Your donations are greatly appreciated and are a big part of the fundraising success.
