On April 1-3 Douglas HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) students attended HOSA State Competitions in Tucson.

At the state level there are about 5,000 members that competed. Each competition is related to healthcare. The top three in each event qualify for nationals that will be held in Orlando Florida, Disney World which will be held June 20-24th.
Douglas High School had nine students qualify this year and many more that were on the edge of going. Overall Douglas made big impression on the Health Occupation Students of America State Competition. Ms. Savill, Mr. Nelson and Ms. Alonso would like to say thank you to all the people who have been supporting our Douglas HOSA members and helped make it possible for us to attend state competitions.

Fourth Place Biomedical Debate Team: Diego Vlasic, Jordan Acosta, Jackie Padilla and Roxanna Valenzuela.
Fourth Place Career Health Display: Itza Elias and Amairany Barrios.
Fifth Place Dental Spelling: Leslie Griffin.
Fifth Place Pathophysiology: Francisco Grijalva.
Fifth Place Healthy Lifestyles: Itzel Villa.
