Eva R. “Little Mama Bear” Roqueni passed away on March 24, 2012 at her home in Douglas.



Eve was born on November 8, 1914 Rumaldo and Guadalupe Rodriguez of Douglas, AZ. She is preceded in death by son Jaime R Roqueni (James) of Douglas, AZ, husband Elias G. Roqueni of 28 years of marriage, her brothers Joe and Adam Rodriguez, sisters Guadalupe Saavedra, Lucy Rodriguez, and Mary Hill. Surviving are daughter Eve C. Martinez, her grandchildren Eloisa Galaz, Remundo Roqueni, Irene Renteria, Kimberly Adams, Mindy C. Gutierrez, Larry V. Orr Jr., David Orr, Rene and Sandra Roqueni, Jaime Elias Roqueni, Bobby Roqueni, Joey Roqueni, Maria Louisa Santa Cruz. She also leaves behind 16 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Little Mama Bear was a loving wife, mother and aunt and home maker. Eve loved gardening, baking and cooking. She will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services for Eve were held on April 3, 2012-12:00 at St. Luke Catholic Church. Pallbearers were Larry V. Orr Jr., Joe Saavedra, Rene Roqueni, Bobby Roqueni, Armando Arevalo, Armando Arevalo Jr., and Daniel Arevalo. Burial followed at Calvary cemetery.
