Faras pre-kindergarten through fifth grades had over 200 parents and students attend the event.

The PTSO really wanted to put on a good time for the families and students here at Faras, they wanted to do it free of charge to have an afternoon of fun, Principal Jasper Lusby stated. “We had a really good family turn out,” she added.

Each classroom had an activity booth set up full of fun and entertainment. PTSO provided four jumping castles, hot dogs, drinks and cotton candy.

Raul and Marina Montano, Ricardo and Iris De La Vega were instrumental in organizing and planning the event. The Montano’s ran the hot dog booth giving out an estimated 800 hot dogs. The De La Vega’s along with Lupita Morales ran the cotton candy booth.

Aheesha Morales, 12, fifth grade, said “getting to throw wet sponges at Mr. Romero,” was her favorite part of the day.

“It’s a lot of fun, I’m having lots of fun” Reece Trevizo, 8, a third grader, said about the Family Fun Fiesta.
