Douglas T-Ball begins season

Over 170 kids took part in the Douglas T-Ball League opening ceremonies last week at the ball fields behind Paul Huber Junior High.

Douglas T-Ball League officials said they have six teams in the majors division and eight in the minors.

Ken Nelson and Bruce Whetten threw out the ceremonial first pitches this year officially kicking the T-Ball seasons.

The teams will play two games per week from now to the end of June. Closing ceremonies are scheduled for June 28 5:30 p.m.

Sponsors this year are Arcoiris Day Care, B&D Lumber, Backdrop Photography, BBC Buena Builders Construction, Byrds Sheet Metal and Construction, Dairy Queen, Herbalife, Kandy’s Café, Lopez Heating and Cooling, Mi Ranchito, Ortega’s and the Douglas T-Ball League.
