The search for Isabel Celis has reached the border communities of Douglas and Nogales and even into Mexico, officials are now saying.

Missing person flyers have been posted at various stores in both communities and authorities are following up on various leads they have in the case.

Isabela’s family has ties to Douglas. Her mom Rebecca (Snyder) Celis is a 1995 graduate of Douglas High School and at one time ran for the title of Miss Douglas.

Isabela disappeared from her Tucson home April 21 and has not been seen or heard from since.

The reward leading to her recovery is now at $50,000.

Anyone with information is urged to call 1-800-843-5678 or the Tucson Police Dept. at 1-520-791-4444.

" Definitely not poor people. Sergio Celis is an opera singer. He may not be rich, but he is not poor. "

" The suggestion that the father owed money sheds serious light on the case. It explains why poor people would mention "ransom" during their public address. The media disregarded it as ridiculous. But now it makes perfect sense. He is either in to drugs or gambling. What ever he did may have cost his daughter her life! I wonder if it was worth it?? "

" To many kids are disappering, I for one lock all doors, leave not windows open. Monitor everything they do. You can never be to safe now days. I do think this was a inside job though! THe key to this not happening to your child is to keep it from happening! Don't let them walk alone and be vigilint to who they are speeking with on the computer! That's what I do and it's worked wonders! "

" Sadly I heard that volunteers who took posters down to Douglas and Nogales were turned away but the majority of the businesses in those towns. IMHO that says "fear or intimidation" hopefully this has changed and flyers are everywhere.
We get a lot folks from AP here at the yard sales I have to think there is a huge influx of population in that area which makes a search more difficult? Never been there, have heard great things about the area though. "

Are you speaking of "Uncle J"

" Still PRAYING for this child to to be reunited. I lived in Agua Prieta and I am retired military. Their is nothing in AP that draws attention. Yes, the border is easy to go through unless the light turns red and your vehicle is inspected.I will admit AP is a quiet town. I for one love the place. The problem I have is city of Juraz..God forbid if taken there. "

" I am very suspicious of the adult cousin who sometimes refers to himself as her uncle. A family tie could explain the initial reluctance of her parents to help push this story to the national forefront. "
