Mother Nature hit with a vengeance May 9 when a microburst dropped rain and hail on Douglas.

According to the National Weather Service at least a half inch of rain fell while some local residents are reporting up to an inch fell at their place.

Marble size hail also fell and wind gusts were recorded between 40-50 miles per hour.

Summer league games scheduled for that night were rained out.

Officials for the Douglas Police and Fire Departments report there were no injuries or reports of damage from the storm other than a few downed tree limbs.
