Eddie Dominguez passed away on the early morning of Sunday, May, 27th 2012, from a brave struggle with Liver Disease and Diabetes at the age of 59.

He was born in Douglas, AZ on November 5th 1952 to Pablo Garcia Dominguez and Maria Elena (Sierra) Dominguez. Eddie was preceded in death by his mother Maria Elena (Sierra) Dominguez, brother Francisco "Frankie" Sierra Dominguez, father Pablo Garcia Dominguez, grandson Austin Lee Dominguez, stepmother Maria, "Preta" Jesus (Hernandez) Dominguez, brother Roberto "Bobby" Sierra Dominguez, brother Viviano "Vivi" Sierra Dominguez, grandmother Ernestina (Vasquez) Sierra, grandfather Manuel Sierra.

Eddie lived with his aunt Alice Gulliver who raised him till he was of age. He fell in love with Diane Mable Austin of Douglas, AZ, they married in 1971. In that same year Eddie joined the Arizona Army National Guard, in Douglas and was a member of the 2222nd (Bulk Fuel) Transportation Company for eight years. In 1979 he became an Acid Plant Operator for Magma Copper in San Manuel, AZ and later moved there in 1981. Magma became BHP and he worked with them until they closed. But all the while he was an active member of the American Legion. He was a proud member of the Honor Guard and it was an awesome sight to see him proudly defending or displaying the Colours with his fellow Legionnaires leading the parade on many 4th of July's. He was inspired to do more for the community and elsewhere.

He became a member of the International Lions Club of San Manuel-Oracle. He was voted in as president of the chapter three times and he eventually helped charter a new International Lions Club called the Galiuro Mountains Lions Club. He was also grounds keeper at the El Conquistador Golf & Tennis Resort. As time went on he again went to work as a Power House Operator at Asarco in Hayden, AZ.

He is survived by his wife Diane Mable (Austin) Dominguez of 40 years and was an honorable father to Eduardo Lee Dominguez, Armando Raymundo Dominguez, Jennifer Alexis (Dominguez) Borg, and Paul Christopher Dominguez and was also a wonderful grandfather to eight grandchildren Michael Borg, Sarah Dominguez, Luis Dominguez, Lorenzo Dominguez, Johnathan Dominguez, Joshua Dominguez, Mia Borg and Angel Dominguez. His nicknames were "Old Man", by his kids, "Siagon", by Dozer, "Brother", by most. Eddie's hobbies were fishing for cat fish, crawdad catching, fossil hunting, and at home a very skilled gardener. His favorite band was the Beatles. At one point in his life played in a band called Los Illusions as the bass guitarist with his Uncle Hector Sierra, Carlos Olivas, and Ray Rios. His favorite movies were spaghetti westerns and old war movies. His favorite actors were John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Telly Savalis and Charles Bronson.

Services were held at Evergreen Mortuary in Tucson AZ. Monday, June 4th at 12:00 PM. He will be greatly missed.
