Sabra A. Boyer, 92, of Tucson, AZ, formerly of Decatur, IL, passed away in her home on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.



Sabra was born in Cedar Rapids, IA, March 26, 1920, to Ernest Lloyd Overley and Emma I. Overley. She was married to Roy Dorsey, deceased, and in 1967 she married H. M. “Chuck” Boyer, deceased.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy A. Boyer of Elfrida, AZ, and her partner Roxanne C. Nimmer of Mesilla Park, NM. Cousins Virginia (Bob) Lawton of Moweaqua, IL; Donna West of Idaho Falls, ID; Special friend and caregiver, Maria Diaz of Tucson, AZ. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Sabra was retired from Mountain Bell and Illinois Bell Telephone Companies. She was Past President of the Business and Professional Women’s Club, Decatur; member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 3 of Decatur (IL) and the Bisbee (AZ) Eastern Star Pearl of Venus Chapter 6. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Douglas (AZ) and Immanuel Presbyterian Church of Tucson (AZ).

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2012, 11:00 a.m. at the North Fork Cemetery, Decatur, IL.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
