Forty-two year Douglas resident Ene Carpenter lost her fight with cancer and is now with her loved ones in God’s house.



Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, she was the third oldest of 11. In 1963 she met who would soon be her husband in Juarez, Mexico.

In February 1964 she married her husband Ken Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister, her granddaughter, Sandy (03/2003), husband Ken Sr. (12/2009) and great granddaughter Amber (04/2012). She is survived by her son, Ken Jr. and his wife Cherylann; 5 sisters, Clemen, Oda, Letty, Martha and Stella; 2 brothers, Rogelio and Jose; 4 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Church. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2012 also at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Gilbert Malu officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to the Douglas Food Bank.
