Swim lessons underway at Aquatic Center

The first of four swimming lesson classes began this week at the Douglas Aquatic Center on 15th Street.

Registration for the other classes is currently underway.

The American Red Cross is offering six different levels of lessons and four different sessions.

There is the pre-school level which is aquatic orientation for 4 year olds; aquatic independence for 5 year olds; learn to swim level one introduction to water skills for six year olds and three more learn to swim levels.

There will be four classes per day for each of the four sessions. The first session will run June 4-13; the second June 18-27; the third July 2-12 and the fourth July 16-25.

Class times are 10-10:45 a.m.; 11-11:45 a.m.; 5-5:45 p.m. and 6-6:45 p.m.
