Area Firefighters battle structure fire
Crews from the Douglas Fire Department responded with two trucks and a half dozen firefighters to a structure fire shortly before noon Monday, in the 2300 block of Rogers Ave. The fire was reported by a nearby neighbor, the structure was full of bees, which were spayed with foam killing them. It was contained within a matter of minutes. Both CCSO and DPD where at the scene to assist. The cause of fire is unknown and remains under investigation.

Former Michigan State special teams football player Demond Williams has been dedicated to family, character and football his entire life. This year, he is sharing his inspiring and well-rounded experience with hundreds of elementary and junior high school students across Arizona, as Athletic Supervisor for La Paloma Academy in Tucson, Heritage Elementary School in Glendale and Williams, and Liberty Traditional Charter School in Phoenix and Douglas.
