Daniel Gerbich, age 82, beloved husband of Norma; dear father of Christian (Kim), Nicholas (Mary), Danielle (Angelo) Matziaris, Justin (Karyn) and Quentin (Tamara); loving grandfather of 13; brother of Natalie Spalj and Michael Gerbich.


Visitation Monday, June 25, 2012 at Immaculate Conception Church, 1431 N. North Park Ave., Chicago, IL., 60610, from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral mass at 11 a.m.

Daniel was a teacher, principal and coach in Douglas, Arizona. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Immaculate Conception School, 1431 N. North Park Ave., Chicago, IL., 60610.

    " Mr. Gerbich and I worked with Mr. Edward Szwakop as part of the Douglas Community Schools in Douglas, Arizona. He had a way of making me laugh when he and Mr. Szwakop would get into a discussion. They were good friends to one another and always made my day by making me laugh. Condolences go out to his family. May he rest in peace. "
