Ninety boys and girls, ages 6-13, signed up to play in the Douglas Youth Basketball League which got underway last week with a skills camp followed by the draft in the Huber Middle School gymnasium.

The average team will have nine kids on it.
The teams will practice for two weeks before beginning play July 9. Then it will be two games per week for each of the teams.
Games will be played Monday through Thursday at 5:30 and 6:45 p.m. in both the Huber and Stevenson Elementary School gyms.
Sponsors for this league are Ortega’s Stores, Powerzone Gym, Backdrop Photography, Mi Ranchito, B&D Lumber and Hardware, Shooters, KDAP 96.5 FM, Krazy Dawgz, David’s Plumbing and the Youth Advisory Council.
