Steele has been a professional magician since he was 16 and continues to perform for large and small audiences. He is scheduled to be in Europe next month.
The event was the second in a series of events put on by the Friends of the Douglas Public Library Summer Reading Program.
Event organizer Tanya Duarte said there will be a “Mad Science” performance at 3 p.m. July 19 at Castro Park followed by a wrap up party Saturday, July 21 at 11 a.m. which will include pizza and a boat racing contest at the city pool on 8th Street.
The Mad Science group is from Tucson and will perform hands on science experiments.
Both events are free to the public.
