This year’s camp brought in 196 boys and girls ages 4-14.

The event began on Monday with separating the campers into their age groups. They were taught cheers, stunts and a routine that was presented to their parents on Thursday.

The camp was a great success this year, said Suzette Forest, Spiritline Booster Club President.

Proceeds help the squad pay for uniforms, warm-ups, and NCAA camp.

“A big thanks to all who supported the squad,” Forest said.

The DHS Spiritline will be selling scratcher cards, donations range from 75 cents to $3

" this was a great camp in which helps the girls pay for their camp, uniforms, pom poms, etc, however my concern is my daughter has been a cheerleader for 3 yrs, and i'm really concerned about their uniforms. I was not present at the meeting and so I didn't vote on the uniform. The uniform are very distasteful, cheap, the material is cheap looking, they are extremely short showing a lot of their behinds . We shouldn't have our young cheerleaders looking trashy, the should look appropriate and decent and represent our school and little town with taste as in the past. There are many parents who didn't attend only because we were out of town, and they would have voted against the uniform. "
