Armando Ivan Resendiz Ortega passed away on July 7, 2012.



Ivan was born on May 24, 1988 in Phoenix, AZ to Jacobo and Idolina Resendiz. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Manuel Ortega Gracia.

Surviving are his mother and father, daughter Itzel Alejandra Resendiz and girl friend Nichole Martinez. Also surviving are his siblings Javier A. Resendiz, Diego Resendiz and Susan N. Resendiz. He leaves behind his maternal grandmother Manuelita Ortega paternal grandparents Francisco and Maria Eugenia Resendiz as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many lifelong friends.

Ivan was a family owner operator of Resendiz Cabinet Shop that he ran with his father. Ivan was an avid hunter, loved sports, but his life joy and priority was his daughter. Ivan, we love you and will miss you….Mom, Dad, Susan, Javier, Diego, Daughter and Nichole we love you mijo!

Rosary for Ivan was on July, 11, 2012-7:00 in the main chapel of Espinosa Funeral Home, 1860-8th Street in Douglas. Mass of the Resurrection was held on Thursday, July 12, 2012-10:30 at Immaculate Conception Church with Father Gilbert Malu.

Pallbearers were Jacobo Resendiz, Javier Resendiz, Diego Resendiz, David Resendiz, Francisco Resendiz Jr., Ernie Verdugo Jr., Manuel Ortega, and Rufino Salinas Jr. Honorary Pallbearers were Idolina Resendiz, Susan Resendiz, Nichole Martinez, Jasmine Rodriguez, Francisco Resendiz and Ruben Robles. Ivan will be cremated following the holy mass.

Care entrusted to Alex Espinosa Funeral Homes, 1860-8th street, 364-2121, Alex Espinosa Funeral Director.
