Wind gusts in excess of 60 miles per hour blew knocking down numerous trees and power lines.
Chino Road was closed several hours after six power lines came down knocking out power to businesses and residences in that area.
Local Wal-Mart store manager Sergio Gonzalez said his store was shutdown for approximately two hours as a result of the downed power lines opening backup shortly before 6 p.m.
G Ave was one of many streets around town flowing with water. Some flooding occurred at the new Government Center as well as one of the Ortega stores across the street. Ironically no flooding was reported on the bottom floor of City Hall.
Officials for the Douglas Police and Fire Departments are reporting no accidents or injuries were reported during that time.
