The call came in around 11:30 a.m. in a semi truck trailer that was being used for storage at the Palo Verde Stop N’ Go on Washington.

According to fire officials at the scene a grill outside the store and near the trailer rubbed up against some unattended debris. The debris began to smolder but fortunately nothing ignited.

DFD remained on the scene just a short while before turning the situation over to Sunnyside. No injuries were reported and the scene was cleared approximately an hour later.
