Sign-ups for China Poblana have begun

Applications are now being taken for China Poblana. There is an entry fee of $25, and each participant must sell at least 25 tickets in order to be considered for selection.

There are five different categories; Toddler China 2-4 year olds, Little China Poblana 5-8 year olds, Junior China Poblana 9-12 year olds, Teen China 13-16 year olds and Miss China Poblana 17-21 year olds.

Each winner of the China Poblana will receive a China Poblana dress and hat. Miss China will also receive a $500 scholarship.

China’s will participate in varies parades and events in and outside of Douglas throughout their term.

China selection and dance will be held at the Bushmasters Club on September 8. The winners will be crowned on September 14 at the Douglas Fiestas held at 8th Street Park.
