Job assistance continues at the Douglas Public Library

The Job Assistance Center at the Douglas Public Library continues its free one-on-one sessions for job seekers wanting to enhance their job readiness and or job related computer skills.

Session topics include: Online Job Searching: Discover how to navigate employment websites; Resume and Cover Letter: Find out how to compose a resume and cover letter; Interview Skills: Be inspired to give a confident interview by learning how to prepare for questions ahead of time; Email Basics: Create and set up an online email account. Microsoft Word: Learn how to create, edit, and save a Word document.

The library’s job assistance lab is equipped with a desk top, portable laptops, printer, projector and screen.

One-on-one job assistance is available. The session is free and confidential. Each session is structured for the individual to work towards meeting their job related goals.
