All Pirtleville area residents are invited to participate in this event. Event organizers say they would like to have volunteers come and support the Clean-Up Day event. All volunteers are to meet at the Pirtleville Fire Department building at 404 W Irvine Avenue. Gloves will be furnished to all participants and if possible bring your wire rakes. Plastic trash bags will be furnished for the event.
Cochise County will provide large metal trash bin containers. People can bring all disposable trash and all unwanted items such as old sofas, mattresses, etc. for proper disposal at the county regional landfill.
Anyone with old stoves, refrigerators, washing machines, dryers, metal items, etc. can bring them to the fire department and we will help you dispose of them. Please, no construction material will be allowed in the metal container bins.
The metal containers will be located on McKinley Avenue, next to the Fire Department Building on W Irvine Avenue and McKinley Avenue.
Free hotdogs, sodas and water will be available for all participants. With your help Pirtleville can alleviate some areas that need attention concerning unsightly trash, mainly paper and plastic bags.
Organizers say they appreciate the Cochise County government for their support in the clean-up event and a special thanks goes to our area district Supervisor Ann English, for her assistance.
