JOSE LUIS “JOE” RODRIGUEZ

Jose Luis “Joe” Rodriguez, born to Jose and Lydia Rodriguez on January 8, 1950, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2012.


He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Hector, Armando, Gerardo, and Andres, his sister Nancy and longtime partner Bertha Hernandez. He is survived by sisters, Sylvia Bittner, Rozella Cota, Norma Valenzuela (Ramon) and brother Hector Rodriguez, as well as several nephews, nieces and friends. Joe will always be remembered for his sense of humor and mischievous smile. He will be greatly missed by all his family on earth, but we know he is now resting in peace no longer feeling pain, and has joined his family and friends in heaven.

The family would like to thank Dr. Erman and the staff and personnel at Casa de la Luz Hospice for their excellent care and for the kindness they showed Joe. A Rosary for Joe will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 27, 2012 at the Brown Page Mortuary Chapel.

Holy Mass in celebration of Jose’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church with Father Richard Tule officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery with Military Honors by the American Legion and VFW.

Pallbearers who will serve are Hector Rodriguez, Ramon Valenzuela, Ramon Valenzuela, Jr., Armando Valenzuela, Joseph Cota and Ernesto Valdez.
