Three men have been arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sale and transporting marijuana for sale.

On August 29 at approximately 9:30 a.m., State Gang Task Force Detectives (GIITEM) located two suspicious vehicles driving to a residence located at 760 11th Street. Upon arrival at the residence the GIITEM Detectives noticed four male subjects getting in and out of the back seat of one of the vehicles.

A 1990 Toyota sedan registered to Adam Barraza of Star Valley, Ariz. and 2000 Ford sedan, registered to Jan Agcaoili, left the residence; detectives conducted a traffic stop on the Toyota.

According to Detective Antonio Morales, detectives conducted a search of the vehicle and found several packages of marijuana weighting 74 pounds, and carrying an estimated street value of $37,000.

Adam Barraza, 26 and two of the three subjects assisting Barraza were later located and placed under arrest. They have been identified as Phillip Agcaoili II, 31, and Juan Armando Smith 28, both of Douglas.

A search warrant was later executed at the 760 11th Street residence at approximately 5 p.m. Evidence related to drug trafficking was seized as a result of the warrant.

GIITEM Detectives are attempting to locate and arrest the fourth subject involved in this case.

“Two of the four suspects were known gang members in the Douglas area,” Detective Morales said.
