The Douglas AYSO kicked off its season Sept. 15 at Airport Park which featured special guest Ronald McDonald.

League president Chuey Duarte took a moment to introduce the players, coaches and his board.
He also recognized his sponsors which included McDonalds, Ortega’s Sportsworld, Byrds Construction and Backdrop Photography.
In the U5 division the coach said there is just one big team and all the players show up each weekend, learn some skills then play against each other practicing what they had just been taught.
There are six teams in the U6 division; nine in the U8 and U10 divisions and four each in the U11 girls; the U12 boys; the U14 girls and the U14 boys.
Week one scores had the Coyotes beating the Punishers 4-2 in U10 play. Jose Loreto scored three goals and Elijah Valenzuela for the Coyotes. Justin Luna and Victor Daniel-Stuppi each had goals for the Punishers.
The other game had the Dragons shutting out the Venom 4-0. Anthuam Bermudez scored three goals for the Dragons while Xavier Estrella had one.
The other U10 game had the Rebels beating the Blue Sharks 3-1.Dylan Velasquez scored all three goals for the Rebels while Joaquin Escalante had the lone goal.
In the U11 girls play the From Heaven beat the Pumas 9-0. Liana Cabarga, Andrea Duronslet, Venecia Torres and DeeRae Villicana each scored two gaosl while Carolina Sandoval had one.
In U12 boys play the Thunder Bolts and the Silver Bullets tied 2-2. Dominic Galindo and Damien Ramirez each scored goals for the Thunder Bolts. David Ray and Alek Samaniego each had goals for the Silver Bullets.
In the U14 girls game the Real Deal beat the Pink Panthers 5-1. Victoria Arvizu scored three goals for the Real Deal while Ashley Calhoun and Yani Espinoza each had one. Stephanie Adams had the lone goal for the Pink Panthers.
In the U14 boys game the Heat beat the B Doggz 8-3. Gerardo Grijalva and Martin Laprada each scored four goals for the Heat. Francisco Aguilar had all three goals for the B Doggz.
In the other game the Real Madrid beat the Pink Squad 3-2. Ty Arias, Cesar Arvayo, and Andres Esqueda each scored goals for Real Madrid. Sebastian Bermudez and Arturo Felix each had goals for the Pink Squad
