Douglas shot a 171 while Pueblo did not score due to not having the required number of golfers.
Robbie Romero led Douglas shooting a score of 42. Martin Valenzuela also shot a 42, Andres Rico followed with a 43, Jake Salmon a 44 and Arnulfo Valdez shot a 47.
On Thursday, Sept. 27, the Bulldogs hosted Nogales on the back nine holes of the Douglas Golf Course.
Douglas shot a 176 and Nogales finished with a 194.
Romero again led Douglas shooting a 43; Salmon, Valdez and Rico each shot scores of 44 and Valenzuela a 45.
Douglas High School’s golf coach Bosco Selchow said Thursday’s score was not bad but it seemed every golfer on his team had one bad hole where they had three or four extra strokes added to their score which caused their score to go up.
The coach said it’s a matter of eliminating the mistakes and just continue working towards bring their scores down.
The Bulldogs are hosting Salpointe and Sahuaro in matches this week at the Douglas Golf Course.
