Emma B. Romo, a lifelong Douglas resident, died Sept. 12, 2012.



Romo was born January 31, 1916 in Douglas. She started her long career in retail at Levy’s and continued her passion for fashion at J.C. Penney’s where she retired after 30 years. After a life filled with faith, love, family, and friends.

She is reunited with her parents Jose and Gertrudis and siblings Galileo, Margaret and Joe.

She is survived by her sister Bertha Arevalo and sister-in-law Bertha Romo, her numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved pet Princess.

She will forever live in our hearts as our second mother.
