" Not having school on September 16th is as much as admitting that a very high number of children in our schools, come from Mexico. They are registered with all kinds of false documentation. If someone wants to verify this, go to the port of entry from 6 am to 8 am and from one to 4 in the afternoon. "

" As a parent, grandparent and a citizen. I don't recall having a holiday Sept 16th when I was a student at DHS or even my children. I agree they should have had school on Monday and students that didn't show should have given unexcused absent. "

" Tell us why there was no school on monday..Mrs. Rogers?..the truth is that so many kids from mexico would not show up that day..district would lose too much money. What a scam. Why should my kids suffer because kids would not show up. My kids would have been in school that day as would other kids. If kids did not show up..give them an an unexcused absent. This district is going down hill really fast. No wonder some parents have pulled their kids out.kudos to them.. "
