Dear Editor:

On Tuesday, September 4th, our son Patrick hurt his finger at football practice. When we went to pick him up at the stadium, his finger had been iced and wrapped; and the Emergency Room at SAMC had been notified that we would be bringing him in. Our sincere thanks to Mrs. Shelley Molina Vega, Coach Carlos La Madrid, and Ken Nelson who took care of the injury when it happened.

Once at the hospital, Patrick's finger was x-rayed and determined it was broken; it was set, wrapped, and the doctor told us to take him to an orthopedic specialist. We are very pleased and grateful with the care that was provided by the ER staff at the hospital. We are more grateful with the fact that Douglas has its own hospital where we can take our children in case of an emergency. Thank you to the following: Diana Hurtado, Dagoberto Quiroz, Jacquelin Boone, Adam Montano, Daniel Bacaparra, Diana Chavez, and Dr. Joshua Dopko.

Your professionalism and expertise put Patrick and us at ease as you tended to his broken finger.

We hope that other people will utilize the Emergency Room services offered at SEAMC if needed. Thank you Southeast Arizona Medical Center for your terrific service.

Sincerely

Chuck, Alvina and Patrick Hoyack
