City Council meeting tonight By Bruce WhettenDouglas Dispatch The Douglas City Council will hold its regular monthly meeting tonight at 6 p.m. in the City Hall council chambers. The meeting will be preceded by a 5 p.m. special meeting where a possible executive session may take place to discuss the possible sale, purchase or lease of property on the east side of Pan American Ave. as well as the northeast corner of Geronimo Trail and Bohmfalk Road. At the regular meeting there will be a presentation from the Cochise Health and Social Services regarding the S.P.A.R.K. Program. Several appointments to various community boards are expected to be approved and several resolutions and ordinances will be acted upon. One of the ordinances pertains to the rules of conduct for council meetings while another establishes bus fare user fees for the new Douglas Transit Program. The council is also expected to discuss the execution of a possible lease agreement between the City of Douglas and Med Trans Corporation at the Douglas Municipal Airport. Tonight’s meeting is open to the public.
