Co-owned and operated by Jenea Sanchez and Robert Uribe, Galiano’s, located at 1113 G Ave., offers fruit smoothies, veggie sandwiches and deli style sandwiches.

“It’s a good place to come in the morning to drink your coffee and do homework,” Andrea Quiroz said of Galiano’s.

Galiano’s officially opened on Sept. 20 but waited to have their official grand opening this past weekend.

“Our grand opening is amazing not only did our friends support us but our entire family came out,” Sanchez said. “It’s been very heartwarming.”

Galiano’s also provides a place for local artist to display their work and talents.

“I love the style it’s so vintage and the coffee is so delicious,” Francisca Quiroz said.

They are open Monday-Friday 7a.m.-8p.m; Saturday 9a.m.-8p.m. and on Sunday from 10a.m.-5p.m., Galiano’s will also offer free Wi-Fi.

“It’s going really well we are so excited, everyone in the community has accepted us so very well, we are very blessed,” Uribe said. “We are getting new faces each day we are open. It makes us feel excited and blessed at the same time. We want to engage in a relationship with the community of Douglas.”

" Smoothies are ok, customer service still needs some improvement. Prices might want to be dropped as well "

" We go there every week and love the smoothies and sandwiches. Jenea is a sweetheart and love what her and Robert are doing for this town. Art, music, poetry, good different food and drink and a whole different atmosphere. Come on people go there and try this place, you will be happy you did. "

" Sounds like the grand opening went well. I hope free pastries were given rather than free pasties though! I wish someone would proof read these stories before they're printed. There are so many errors every week! "
