Cochise College offers free CNA and GED classes

Douglas Dispatch

Cochise College Adult Education, in partnership with Work Force Development, offers free health care and General Education Development (GED) classes.

If you are interested in obtaining your GED and want a career in the health care field, Cochise College Adult Education offers a free program to assist you in getting your GED and becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or health care giver.

The CNA classes will be offered at the Cochise College Douglas Campus. The GED classes will be held at the Douglas Library.

All classes and certifications are paid for under the Integrated Basic Education and Skills Training grant (IBEST).

IBEST assists students who need support improving their basic skills in reading, writing, mathematics and English as a second language while they are concurrently working towards a vocational certificate.

For more information, contact Emilia Chini at (520) 515-3692, registration is ongoing and classes begin in January.
