Douglas City Council holds special meeting
The Douglas City Council held a special meeting last Wednesday, Oct. 31, in the city hall council chambers.
There were two items on the agenda.
The first item was regarding the possible purchase, sale or lease of properties located at 222 E. First Street; 1201 Third Street; 1260 16th Street; 1240 18th Street and property located on the west side of Pan American Ave. on the extension of Sixth Street between Pan American Ave. and Chino Road.
The mayor and council met in executive session for over an hour before returning to the open meeting where they unanimously approved the item.
The second part of the meeting regarded the appointment of council member Mitch Lindemann to the finance committee with designation as chairperson.
Margaret Morales was also reappointed as an ex-officio member of the finance committee.
Those appointments were also unanimously approved.
The regular city council meeting is set for Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. in the city hall council chambers.
The meeting will be open to the public.
