Apaches’ hoops teams stay unbeaten at home

The men’s and women’s basketball teams at Cochise College remained unbeaten at home and in conference Nov. 17, as each routed Chandler-Gilbert Community College.

The Cochise men blew out the Coyotes 103-68 led by Tevin Caldwell with 18 points and 11 rebounds, Jerry Duckworth with 16 points on four 3-pointers,

Demeco Blue with 13 points and Anddrew Hawkins, Ajak Magot and Joe Bell Austin with 10 apiece.

Earlier Saturday, the Cochise women remained unbeaten on the season, crushing Chandler-Gilbert 96-59.

Tianna Brown had 19 points, Johnishia Welles 18, Yvonte Neal 12 and Ashley Mitchell and Jaz Lemon had 11 each.

The Apaches, 6-1 overall and 2-0 in conference, are off until today when they play at South Mountain.

The Apache men and women are at home this Saturday hosting Mesa Community College. Game times are 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Both Cochise teams will then host Eastern Arizona College Dec. 5 also at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.

There is no admission charge to the games.
