Douglas AYSO ends season with tournament

Douglas’ AYSO held a post season tournament Nov. 17-18 at Airport Park for several of its upper divisions.

In the U10 boys division the Dragons beat the Rebels 3-1 in the finals. Adrian Arciniega scored two goals for the Dragons while and Andre Delacruz had one. Cristian Terrazas had the lone goal for the Rebels.

In the games Saturday leading up to the championship game the Blue Sharks beat the Punishers 4-1. Ty Partain, Juan Chacon, Joaquin Escalante and Juan Guzman each had a goal for the Blue Sharks. Eduardo Cisneros had the lone goal for the Punishers.

In the other game the Coyotes shutout the Venom 8-0. Pedro Figueroa scored three goals for the Coyotes while Jose Loretto had two and Victor Lopez, Matthew Martinez and Elijah Valenzuela each had one.

In one semifinal game the Dragons edged the Blue Sharks 2-1 as Andre Delacruz and Gaston Gonzales each had goals for the Dragons. Partian had the lone goal for the Blue Sharks.

In the other semifinal game the Rebels edged the Coyotes 3-2. Terrazas, Dylan Vasquez and William Martinez each had one goal for the Rebels. Pedro Figueroa and Jose Loretto each had goals for the Coyotes.

In the U12 boys championship game the United blanked the Silver Bullets 3-0 as Mark Noriega, Marco Romero and Alan Ruiz all had goals.

In Saturday’s games leading up to Sunday the Silver Bullets beat Thunderbolts 3-2 in one game as Alek Samaniego scored two goals and Pablo Galindo chipped in one. Hector Canez and Edgar Figueroa each had goals for the Thunderbolts.

In the other game the United shutout the Blue Storm 1-0 behind Adan Rodriguez’ goal.

In U14 boys tournament play Sunday Rey Madrid beat the B-Dogs 3-2 in the finals. Daniel Valenzuela scored two goals for Rey Madrid while Martin Velasquez-Avila added one. Misael Valenzuela and Francisco Aguilar each had one goal for the B-Dogs.

On Saturday Rey Madrid beat the Pink Squad 6-2. Charlie Gonzalez and Daniel Valenzuela each had two goals for Rey Madrid while Cesar Arvayo and Velasquez-Avila had one. For the Pink Squad Kevin Cornejo and Javier Bojorquez each had one goal.

In the other game Saturday the B-Dogs beat the Heat 5-2. Francisco Aguilar had two goals for the B-Dogs while Jake Roger Ray, Valenzuela and Julian Tanabe each had one. Andres Tostada and Keelan Samaniego each had goals for the Heat.

In the U11 girls championship game Sunday the Eleven from Heaven beat the Pumas 2-1. Janae Aleman had both goals for the Eleven from Heaven. Damariz Miranda had the lone goal for the Pumas.

On Saturday the Eleven from Heaven beat the Purple Flame 5-1. Liana Cabarga scored two goals for the Eleven team while Aylin Hernandez, De Rea Villicana and Venecia Torres all had one. Blanca Padilla had the lone goal for the Purple Flame.

In the other game the Pumas beat the Soccer Divas 5-0. Miranda had four goals for the Pumas while Yunise Murguia had one.

In the U14 girls finals Sunday the E-lemon-ators beat the Real Till 4-0. Crystal Munoz scored three goals for the E-lemon-ators while Yazmin Murguia had one.

On Saturday the E-lemon-ators beat the Swat 4-3. Munoz had two goals for the E-lemon-ators while Murguia and Karen Cabarga each had one.

In the other game the Real Till beat the Pink Panthers 5-4. Victoria Arvizu had two goals for the Real Till while Esmeralda Parra, Priscilla Rendon and Ashley Calhoun all had one. Aleyda Canez, Victoria Gonzalez, Courtney Huddleston and Jaqueline Valenzuela all had goals for the Pink Panthers.
