Israel Romo Ysea, aka Tata Ysea, who’s currently at the Cochise County jail, has been indicted in the murder of a Douglas man.

Ysea was indicted Nov. 8 by the Cochise County grand jury on charges of the murder of Guillermo Cruz.

Ysea allegedly stabbed and killed Cruz over an unknown reason on Oct. 17.

He was arrested on Oct. 24 after eight days of intense searching.

According to Douglas Police Departments Public Information Officer Mark Wilkinson, Ysea was located after extensive follow-ups on numerous anonymous tips from concerned citizens.

In a collaborative effort between DPD, GIITEM, and the U.S. Marshals, Ysea was located and arrested without incident.

At the time of his arrest he had not been formally charged with murder but was being held without bond on  unrelated charge.

“As with any investigation the best way to proceed is to allow the police department to finish investigating,” County Prosecutor Doyle Johnstun said. “Because there is no bond on him for the other charges he will remain incarcerated for the time being.”

Ysea is being charged with first and second degree murder, second degree burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is currently being held on a $1 million bond.

" If you committed this crime...what do you feel? Are you remorseful...do you know how many people you have harmed, hurt, and dishonored? You will have your day in court...use the time that you have to repent your sins...your day of judgment and reckoning will come and you will be judged only by one...you will be convicted by a jury of your peers if you are guilty...if you are guilty then help ALL the people that have been devastated by your selfish act to understand why you would break one of the commandments...if you did this...you can still make a difference to SOME by showing remorse...not all will forgive...anger will not allow them...but to some...it will start the healing process. " To Aquiles: What do you suggest? Probation? Electronic monitoring? If it was a low level offense, I would agree with you but first and second degree murder are serious crimes. Should he fit the criteria and they pursue it, having him on death row would be more expensive than life. "

" THAT IS WHY WE SHOULD START A FUNDRAISER TO RAISE FUNDS FOR TATA SO THAT HE CAN SURVIVE WHILE HES IN THERE THAT WAY HIS MEALS WONT COME OUT OF AQUILES'S TAXES. GOD BLESS YOU TATA "
