VIDEO: 2009 back to school concert Contributed by Mark Silverstein and Manny Ayala for the Dispatch The 2009 back to school concert, held at The Douglas Public Library, helped to raise the student's enthusiasm for the new school year. The event was sponsored by Douglas for Stronger Families along with the library and the CIty of Douglas. The rockin’ began at six with free sessions of “Guitar Hero” and “Rock Band.” At 7 p.m., the amps were turned on for five local bands. They included Revelations, Burning Embrace, Alive Untitled, Black Horizon and N.U.M. At 9 p.m., the show finished with a public showing of “Rock and Roll High School” starring the Ramones. |
