Lady Bulldogs fall to Sahuaro

The Douglas Lady Bulldogs fell to the Sahuaro Cougars 8-0 Dec. 4 in Tucson.

When the same two teams met in Douglas two weeks ago in the Brandon Bean tournament the Lady Bulldogs were shutout 10-0.

Sahuaro out shot Douglas 30-3. Amanda Teran had seven saves at goalie for Douglas while Maria Palacios had three.

Douglas’ coach Mario Romero said his team was very flat the first half but he made some adjustments the second half and the girls played much better defensively.

The Lady Bulldogs will be off until Dec. 19-22 when they will be playing in the Palo Verde Invitational.
