On Sunday, Dec. 2 the Cochise County Historical Society held their annual meeting at the historic Gadsden Hotel.

The meeting focused on the past year in review, the election of officers/board of directors and general discussion. After the voting was completed the following officers/directors were selected: Tombstone resident W.F. “Bill” Pakinkis was reelected for the fourth consecutive term as president (first Tombstone resident to serve as president of the CCHS since its founding); Fred Rusch of Sierra Vista, was elected as vice president; Liz Ames, Douglas was reelected as Treasurer; Margaret Bemis of McNeal, was elected as secretary and Kathy Klump of Willcox was elected to the board of directors.
Remaining on the board are Joe Moran of Douglas, Bo Downey of Willcox and Bill Cavaliere of Portal. Chris Overlock remains as past president and Roy Manley as an honorary board member. Following the meeting Board Member Bill Cavaliere, gave a presentation on Geronimo and the Apaches.
