On January 19, 2013 our beautiful angel Christina R. Alvarado received her wings and entered into Heaven to be with our Lord and her many family members.

Christina was a devout Catholic belonging to St. Luke’s Church and attending weekly Saturday Mass before her bout with Alzheimer’s disease. She was a part of the St. Luke’s Woman’s Club and often volunteered in the weekly cleaning of the church. She worked for the DUSD in the cafeteria before retiring and taking on a more important job of taking care of her loving grandchildren. Christina loved and lived life to the fullest every day, grateful and thankful she was given another day to live. She was a role model to many.

Her sisters, Dolores Zavala, Enedina Tellez, Josefina Corella, Maria Elena Robinson and her brothers, Jesus, Pedro, Manuel and Jose Robles. She was also preceded by several nieces and nephews as well as her son in law Ray Rios. Christina is survived by her husband of 62 years Antonio Alvarado; 3 sons Tony Jr., Eduardo (Betty), and Alejandro Alvarado; her daughter Christy Rios and one brother, Andres Robles.
