Longtime Douglas resident, Eddie Valdez, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2013. Eddie was a 27 years law enforcement veteran and was well known for his love of sports and car racing. He leaves behind his wife of 33 years Roslie and children Steven and Tricia.


A Rosary service followed by a Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

This comes as a complete shock to me, as, Eddie and Rosalie were good friends of mine when they lived in Bisbee for a period of time. We were always involved in sports and worked together in the law enforcement family. My thoughts and prayers go out to Rosalie and their children, RIP, Eddie. "

I had the great opportunity to work with Eddie at the Police Dpt. He was great to work with and always with a smile and would always make me laugh even when would see eachother in the street, park or at the stores while shopping he would always bring a smile to me and share some old police stories that we did.....
