Junior varsity
Douglas beat Palo Verde 4-1 last Thursday at Douglas High School in what was the junior varsity’s third win in a row.
Reyna Espinoza, Bryanna Gutierrez, Danitza Grajeda and Fatima Pena each scored goals for Douglas in the win.
The defense of Nicole Verdugo, Reyna Espinosa, Yesica Vasquez and Ashley Gonzales had a great game keeping Palo Verde out of the net.
“The girls have really come around with a lot of determination and great hustle I’m very proud of how the girls have responded,” Douglas’ JV coach Carlos Chavez said.
Douglas’ record now stands at 3-2-2.
