DOUGLAS — This semester, the Cochise College Center for Lifelong Learning will offer its Introduction to Computer Series for Adults at the college's Douglas campus for the first time.
"This is a very popular course in Sierra Vista, and we have had many requests for a Douglas version," Gilman said. "The content is for beginners who are not familiar with basic computer functions and commands. The series takes students through the various functions of the PC, Word and the Internet."
Each class costs $39, or students can take all nine classes in the series for just $99. Classes are hands-on, with one student to a computer, and encourage discussions and questions. Mary Fogleman will be the instructor for the classes in Douglas.
The Introduction to Computer Series in Douglas will be held on Tuesdays this semester from 5 to 8 p.m., beginning in early February and ending in early April. The Cochise College Douglas campus is located at 4190 West Highway 80.
The Cochise College Center for Lifelong Learning offers a wide variety of non-credit classes each semester for professional development or personal growth. Gilman said she's excited to see CLL's most in-demand class expand to another area of the county to serve more students.
"Many students repeat the computer courses each schedule to keep building their skills," she said.
