Both Rios brothers, Gomez and Zamora have been playing together since 2009. Ryvui has been with the band for a year and Lopez for two.
“Our first real gig was November of 2010, we played at a baptism,” Rios said.
Sabor Latino is the first band from Douglas to play at the Texas Talent Musicians Fan Fair.
The Texas Talent Musicians Association is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote excellence in the Tejano Music Industry.
The Organization produces the annual Tejano Music Awards and the Fan Fair.
This will be the 33rd annual event which invites over 100 Tejano bands from all over the country to perform on five stages.
Sabor Latino performs Tejano, country and some soft rock music with Xavier Rios as their vocalist.
Xavier Rios has been playing since he was seven years old. Both Xavier and Aaron were taught how to play an instrument by their late father Ray Rios. Xavier also writes his own music which is mostly country.
“My dad was the one who taught me how to play the keyboard,” Aaron said. “I was able to pick it up after five years of not playing.”
Both Gomez and Zamora come from a very strong music background. Zamora having played with his dad’s band La Familia for many years.
“It’s our background, it’s in our blood,” Gomez said.
Thousands of Tejano Music Fans from across the country will travel to the Historic Market Square in Downtown San Antonio for the Annual 33rd Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair 2013.
The Fan Fair offers an up close and personal atmosphere with live music on six stages featuring emerging acts to top veteran performers.
The family oriented event offers plenty of traditional food, beverage and vendor booths. In addition, fans will get exclusive access to their favorite artists participating in the special autograph sessions scheduled during all three days of the event.
“It is an honor and privilege to be playing on the same stage as people like Grupo Mazz and Grupo Siggno,” said Aaron Rios.

Shame on the people who are putting down some of the band because of this. Be happy for all of them! They are all extremely talented musicians & whether or not they came from a musical background, picked up an instrument and taught themselves or not, because at the end of it all, for whatever reason, they came together as a band and received this amazing opportunity. (which I'm sure is only the first of many.)
Support them all because without each and everyone of them, this wouldn't even be happening. "

Seriously you people need to deal with it and go on with the flow, I am sure that everyone is an important piece of the band thats why the band is so successfull. I seriously dont understand why you have to be bad mouthing like this. Find a job, get a life, get drunk please do something instead of creating controversy. "
