The Douglas Ministries Association gives House of Hope a large donation last week. Pictured from left to right are: Sister Mary Kirkhoff, Silvia Valenzuela, Ofelia Vargas, Martha Villadosola, Jacquie Phagan, Carol and Jim Huddleston, and Phyllis McClanahan, not pictured Patty Chambers, Shirley Jewell and Roe Peters.
The progressive dinner has been held since 2000 and all of the food is donated by various people and groups throughout the community.
The dinner is held at the four corners churches starting at First Baptist, First Presbyterian, St. Stephen’s Episcopal and ending at Grace Methodist.
“This is a very worthy cause,” Jacquie Phagan said. “We would also like to that the school sisters of Notre Dame for all of their help.”
